If I were true Dallas Stars fan, I would probably run my head through a glass window. A team that wore the typical Stars home jerseys Friday night were embarrassed in a way that the franchise has never been embarrassed: having their hides tanned at home 5-0 against a bad Phoenix Coyotes team.

Listening to Dave Tippett's post-game press conference, I thought he was going to go into the bathroom like Luke Wilson in "The Royal Tennenbaums," shave his head and slit his wrists. He was so sad.

Then you come back Monday night and beat the defending champ Anaheim Ducks 5-0 on the road.

The Stars are like sports meth. Up and down. Pretty soon your skin starts turning back, your face goes gaunt, your eyes sink in your skull and you just start scratching in imaginary spiders on your skin.
