As long as the Cowboys are 12-1, TO's right

"But can we still be friends?"

The verbal quarrel between loudmouths Terrell Owens and Keyshawn Johnson is entertaining.

For one, without Johnson, there is no TO, Chad Johnson or any other cocky, brash receiver. And, now, Johnson is digusted by these type of players.

Two, I realize Johnson's a "journalist" now and I know he must stir the pot in order to attract viewers, but along with all this is at least the facade of impartiality. His head's so far up Bill Parcells' ass, it's crazy.

Three, TO never criticized Parcells or his coaching staff directly. Frankly, TO's been half ways normal about Parcells. It's clear to everyone that Parcells didn't want TO. TO knew this, played on and now he's on the verge of having the best season for a Cowboys receiver.

Four, TO is right and it's so obvious that you assume Johnson is just pandering for the camera.

If anyone would like to argue whether or not Wade Phillips and Parcells have different approaches and attitudes, go for it. As TO noted,"The proof is in the pudding." Phillips and Parcells are night and day. They coach differently. Treat the players and media differently. For better or for worse, they're different. It's like hating bananas because it's not an apple.

Also, the Cowboys offense and their use of TO isn't different because of Phillips; it's different because Jason Garrett. Phillips probably has as much say into the offense as I do. And Garrett won't return my calls.

Phillips admits this. He might boast about being the Greatest Defensive Coach in the History of Western Civilization, but he'd never say anything about offense. Garrett is the key and one must wonder what the Cowboys would've been like had Parcells stuck around and Garrett still been hired. Would he have changed his attitude with the redhead in tow? Doubtful.

Let us not forget, however, how much Parcells means to this franchise. Nevermind what he did as a coach (I mean, they went to the playoffs twice), but look at those drafts and free agent picks. Look how he changed the team and changed the aura of losing. Parcell deserves his due for making this a winning team, but not for making it a 12-1 team.

Parcells will probably go down as a legendary, Hall of Fame coach. Phillips probably won't. TO maybe a cocky, self-absorbed son of a bitch, but, in this case, he's not wrong.
