The Kevin Mitchell Report

How did Kevin Mitchell not be named on the Mitchell Report?

Remember when Kevin Mitchell caught that fly ball bare handed? That was awesome.

Anyway, all the baseball fans I know were anticipating the release of the dreaded Mitchell Report today, detailing the use of steroids and other performance enhancers in MLB.

I don't care much. I wanted to see the "big names" included, but otherwise it doesn't matter. The player's union holds so many cards. Plus, it's all too late. And, MLB doesn't have the balls to do anything.

I guess the only intrigue, really, is the debate of the Hall of Fame-caliber guys. Well, all the list included was one Hall of Famer and a couple of borderline guys (Andy Pettite, Miggie Tejeda, Kevin Brown, Eric Gagne) and Mo Vaughn.

So here's the list as it pertains to current and former Rangers (also, there was a renegade list going around earlier, which has a shitload of former Rangers, but it's allegedly made up):

Current Ranger
Jerry Hairston Jr. (who's a free agent, FYI)

Former Rangers
Gregg Zaun
Kevin Brown
Eric Gagne
Chad Allen (and Duncanville Panther great!)

Amazon Steroid Shoppers
Jerry Hairston Jr.
Gary Matthews Jr.
Jose Canseco
John Rocker
Ismael Valdez

The Surprises (aka, guys whose name I had not heard) To Me
Kevin Brown
Eric Gagne
Chuck Knoblauch

Guys Whose Baseball Cards I Still Own and Love

Hal Morris
Todd Hundley
Rondell White
F.P. Santangelo
Glenallen Hill
Mo Vaughn
Phil Hiatt
