Pu-pu platter or home run: Rangers eye Fukumori
Allegedly, the Rangers are on the verge of signing Japanese reliever Kazuo Fukumori.
At 31, he had a bad 2007 in Japan due to injury. Not a good sign.
In other news out of Japan, it seems the Rangers threw the most money at Fukudome, but he opted for the Cubs at four years, $50 million. I would guess $55 million or $60 million over four or five years. I guess he wasn't impressed with the Rangers. Or Aki Otsuka's been talking with him.
