Kidd and a dream undone
Ah, the march to the NBA Finals ensued Thursday night for the Dallas Mavericks with a ... giant brick.
The New Orleans Hornets looked like the much better team winning 104-93.
Of course, the game is secondary. It was Jason Kidd's first game as a Mavericks in 10 years and, boy, was that underwhelming.
Jason Kidd
36 minutes 3-6 shooting 6 rebounds 5 assists 6 turnovers 8 points
Sounds championship quality to me.
Nevermind offense. What's offense anyway? Jason Kidd's a "smart defender." Clever as shit.
Chris Paul
40 minutes 11-20 shooting 2-3 three-point shooting 5 rebounds 11 assists 1 turrnover 9 steals 1 foul
Wow. This is just great.
I know, it's unfair. But had Kidd been awesome, everyone would've said, "See! That's what Kidd is all about."
