Jason and Katina Taylor and your momma -- guess which one is your momma

The Dallas Cowboys seemingly came out of nowhere to sign vet Zach Thomas to a one-year, $3 million contract.

There are a billion reasons why this is a non-story. But I say it's a story for one reason.

Former Dolphin teammate Jason Taylor married Thomas' sister, Katina. In fact, Thomas introduced them and practically pushed them together.

I don't know anyone who would sit and watch his sister hook up with his friend. I certainly don't know anyone who would hook their sister up with a friend, more or less a 6-6 black man who is probably one of the best looking guys ever.

What kind of man does this? Is this someone that you want on your favorite football team?

Otherwise, this is a nothing deal: $1 million is guranteed, $1 million is incentive-based and the other third is base salary. Thomas can be easily cut.

It is an odd deal, however. Thomas is undersized, generally, for the 3-4 defense. He's old (35). He's coming off a season in which he played just five games due to concussion/head problems. What about this deal thinks that Thomas is long for this team?
