Pacman, mocks
The wheels are turning on the Pacman Jones front for the Dallas Cowboys.
Those Tennessee Titans allegedly turned down a seventh round pick for the troubled cornerback. Since, the Cowboys have offered that same pick along with a player (Bobby Carpenter? Marcus Spears?), which has grabbed the interested of the Titans, despite the fact that the Dallas Morning News has refuted this rumor.
This move could alter things greatly come draft time. The latest bits of mock greatness show the Cowboys going corner with one of their first-round picks. Should they get Pacman (and subsequently re-do his contract) they'll be set to go receiver-back, or back-O-line or receiver-O-line.
NFL -- Vic Carucci
22. Justin King
A wild mock. Rodgers-Cromartie going No. 10. Felix Jones to No. 16. Geez. King's a Penn State cornerback, which possibly means he may not be very good. Possibly.
28. Devin Thomas
Like this pick a bit better than DeSean Jackson or Mario Manningham. At 6-2, 215, he has a lot more size and is fast. I think the Malcolm Kelly sweepstakes is over.
NFL -- Pat Kirwan
22. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Staying pretty steady in the early-20s. Disregarding the possiblity of Pacman, I wonder if the Cowboys have any interest of still going for an offensive threat and letting last year's pick, Alan Ball go for the No. 3 corner spot.
28. DeSean Jackson
Kirwan notes, oddly, that due to injury problems and size, Jackson should slip to 28. So ... why would the Cowboys want him? This isn't the NBA. No. 28 picks got to count.
Real GM
22. Limas Sweed
Blech.
28. Dajuan Morgan
Has there ever been a good "Dajuan"? Dajuan Wagner was a bust. Not to mention that he's more of a safety and this mock is super weird too with tons of good guys going into the mid-second round.
