Byron Nelson counts its blessings
When you're running a PGA tournament that isn't very good, there are certain things you hope for.
For one, it'd be nice for the best player on the course to win.
Two, a tight, sprint to the finish in the final nine holes.
Big shots along the way.
A playoff.
The EDS Byron Nelson Championship's halycon days may be the behind them, but getting all four of the above does not hurt.
Adam Scott, the only top-10 golfer in Irving this weekend won the Nelson, hitting a huge birdie put on No. 18 forcing a playoff, which he won over Ryan Moore.
One quick observation: Ryan Moore's Castro hat looked ridiculous. And I'm glad he lost.
Two, the TPC looked great. Everything was lush and I think the players were put on notice with the tougher looks they were getting.
In general, the weather played nice and it was a good weekend of golf in Dallas.
