Jerry Jones is an animal

Almost a Cowboy, then almost a Dolphin
When the Cleveland Browns threw three years and $24 million at quarterback Derek Anderson, they were probably a little pissed about it.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, it was all the Dallas Cowboys fault.

The Cowboys allegedly were about to throw money at Anderson and then trade him to the Miami Dolphins.

As part of the deal, the Cowboys would've had to give the Browns their first round (No. 28) and third round picks as compensation.

Conversely, the Cowboys would've sent Anderson and the No. 22 first rounder (that they had received from the Browns last year) to the Dolphins for their No. 1 overall pick.

It's like the old West! It's like the NBA! Wheelin' and dealin'. Ripping shit apart.

Luckily for the Cowboys and (probably) the Browns, Cleveland's management upped the ante on Anderson (from $22 million to $24 million), signed him and everything stays the same. The Cowboys still have their two picks and there's one less opportunity to get Darren McFadden, which no one is sold on except Arkansas alum (see: Jones, Jerry).
