Robert Horry and the Hall of Fame
Non-Dallas sports related but it's an issue that must be addressed with a sound mind.
ESPN recently posted some ridiculous column about the Hall of Fame credentials for Robert Horry, current San Antonio Spur.
Why is he even in the talks for the Hall of Fame?
Because he owns seven world champion rings and, incidentally, hit a number of huge shots in playoff games.
That's it.
He was never the No. 1, 2 or 3 scoring options on any his teams. He never had a set position -- a career role player. He was never, ever considered any where near a top 100 player in the league in any given year.
He averaged a mere 4.5 rebounds per game and 7 points per game in his career.
Horry was lucky, not good. Lucky doesn't get into the same Hall as Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Bob Cousy and Larry Bird. Sorry.
So there you go. No more discussing this inane and ridiculous proposition.
